Natural practices emerged thousands of years ago, when primitive man developed what culminated in shamanism, a spiritual, artistic, medical and psychological practice that has been adopted on all continents and in diverse cultures around the world.

In the shamanic body of knowledge, medical and psychological practices cannot be understood or applied in isolation, as they are part of a much larger context than they themselves. In this system, the union between the rite, the art, the body, the therapeutic techniques, the environment and society, and the religiosity constitute a unique structure that gives meaning to life and that also promotes the health of the individual in his social context, family and environment. A deep ecological vision.

After shamanism, therapeutic practices emerged, derived from more technologically advanced cultures, such as the Egyptians, Hindus and Chinese.

Currently, these practices and knowledge are widespread here in the West through the popularization of yoga and Ayurvedic medicine, as well as the proven effectiveness of acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine.

The main “view” of these healing systems is holistic, or systemic, and has strong spiritual philosophical foundations. The management of health is directly related to the exchanges of the organism with the environment, with personal relationships and inner life, in caring for the body and mind and the environment as an indivisible unit. In addition to the holistic environmental view, these disciplines also comprise a holistic view applied to the body and mind connected by subtle energy systems, which have been mapped and carefully studied.

There is a growing interest from science and the population in the study and practice of meditation, in natural medicine and in complementary health practices.

These therapies integrate the holistic knowledge of ancient traditions and contemporary psychological and therapeutics, always considering physiological and bodily functioning together with mental and emotional experiences allied to a systemic view. The individual is seen as the totality of his interactions, and not as an isolated body.

In addition to the physical benefit and deep relaxation, the treatment also psychologically affects our views of the world and relationships, encouraging the maintenance of a lighter, more creative and, therefore, healthier lifestyle.

Natural practices can lead to very positive integrative experiences, with permanent and healthy effects on the personality. A new space of consciousness arises due to changes in the energy flow of the body and, therefore, of the mind, thus benefiting the organism in its attempts at self-healing and integration.

To solve our health problems, we need to develop systemic approaches to treatment that address the meaning of human experience at its various levels and needs. Natural practices are a response to this growing demand from the population.

The techniques help to enhance self-perception, introspection, physiological balance, relaxation and physical and emotional detoxification, harmonizing all body systems and also promoting psychological and social development.

The new paradigm, in which natural practices are included, brings new and old ways of caring for health, the environment, society and human development, aiming at benefits through non-invasive, clean and that support physical and psychic integration, stimulating the organism's natural tendency towards self-healing and self-organization.

Natural therapies help us to rediscover our ability to heal ourselves, to help us on the journey towards health in a sustainable and holistic way, returning to the world a treatment system that includes humanity, care for others, introspection and spirituality, generating health and well-being on multiple levels.
